I just finished up this slobot for the show opening november 14 at subtext in san diego His name is "Android-M Class" and started life at a zakkamono miao, but has changed direction in the hands of mike slobot.

Here's the custom 10" Mad'l created for the "Mad'l Citizens Show" at Lift Detroit. the slobot is called "Guardian5" and it is a household security robot capable of keeping your wireless internet connection working, walking your dogs, and keeping a general eye on your house. Just finished this up for the show at Hero Design. this is a 9" Jamungo BUD. her name is Queen No-Phi and she specializes in VHF broadcasting. Unfortunately, she is not digital ready and needs a converter ;).

slobot x bovinyl moody + lift detroit = SCUBA STEVE

here's my custom moody for "mooood swings" at http://www.liftdetroit.com he's a shark hunting diver slobot, just so you know. the show opens this weekend, September 6, 2008. there is a nice bit on bovinyl's blog (creators of the moody) about scuba steve... you should check it out.

so, here's the thing... mr potatohead = american kaiju

so, off topic a little bit for me, but its still a toy. i have to preface this by saying that i have a mr slo-tatohead in the works, but as i pondered this today, i realized that mr potatohead is AMERICAN KAIJU... i mean, what is scarier than a potato with eyes, a mouth, and arms... in the 70's, i think he had some friends that were carrots too... scary stuff.

rolling up in my etsy shop, there is some new work. there are a couple of original slobot polymer clay sculpts and four new watercolors. i have been doing so much custom toy work, that i felt like i needed a little break, and to work on something else. they are all available at the moment...
